Farewell!

Alex May, Turner, Andre Devore and Shelly Ford
Turner and Grandma Bates
Turner with Coach Meyring

The day of Turner’s farewell was such a memorable day. We began the day by going to Patriarch Ellsworth’s home and Turner received his patriarchal blessing. That is such a great experience, one that has always affirmed my faith.
Turner gave a fantastic talk, although he calls himself “socially awkward.” So many ward friends and our family commented on what a great job Turner did and how prepared he was to serve his mission, and we all agree.
I am always so humbled and grateful at the support we receive from friends and family, all out to send Turner off with love.
After sacrament meeting we had many folks over for dinner. It was great to have Coach and Vickie Meyring, many swim friends, Old Navy friends, and a host of family. Many family members and Turner’s friends hung out for a long time, and ward members came by all evening. It was great to have to many family and friends share this day.
